Nottinghamshire Police do not train as a group however we have a number of members who attend clubs within Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. We regularly attend Police Training Weekends usually hosted by GMP at Sedgley Park which can be hard work, fun and good for social activities too.
Every year we enter a team in the PSUK National Judo Championships, 2005 competition was held in Edinburgh. The best success of the team in 2005 came from Pc David Hawkins who achieved the silver medal in the high grade U81kg and was awarded the Player of the Event Trophy.
All players welcome from novice to high grades, having been involved in the sport for nearly 30 years within the county and Midland Area, you can guarantee being directed to a club which will suit you individually.
Events.
PSUK JUDO Championships will be hosted by West Midlands Police Sports & Social Club and will be held in Walsall, West Midlands on Saturday 15 September 2007.
Both the venue and hotel are close to Junction 10 M6.
