Did you know?

The Sports and Social club supplies the TV’s and Licences found in the refreshments rooms within the force, also Sky to some departments. Table Tennis tables and snooker/pool tables within Police Stations are also provided by the Sports Club who pay for their maintenance.

It supports the Gyms within the force, again providing equipment and maintaining the same.  If you are a member of the Sports and Social Club you can also apply for the HQ Gym Scheme.  For an additional £20 per month you get access to Nottinghamshire Local Authority Sports Centres across the County giving you free access not only to their gyms but also fitness classes, swimming and other individual activities.

It also supports 20 sports or activity sections including Diving, Golf, Cricket, Football, indoor games, judo and a host of other activities; one social club at Carlton and Sports Club’s at the four Divisions and HQ.  All this for less than the cost of a drink.  £1.70 a month !!!  Not a bad deal !!

Feeling lucky?  Well, if you are a member of the Sports & Social Club you can also participate in the Force Lottery Scheme.  Each share costs just £2.17 per month and there is no maximum as to how many you can hold.  The Lottery is drawn monthly with prizes of £1000; £500; £250; 2 x £100 and 2 x £50.

So now you know.  Want to join?  That’s easy.  Just complete the membership form and follow the instructions.  If you want to join the Gym Scheme at the same time, please contact HQ (Finance) Gym Scheme by e mail, they will provide you with the necessary information.  Further information regarding Sports Club Membership and the Lottery can be obtained by e mailing Alison Sinclair.
